The big step in secondary-school Spanish is syntax. Knowing what a verb is no longer suffices: you have to find the subject of a sentence, separate the predicate and recognise within it the direct, indirect or adverbial object. It is chained reasoning, and a whole exam question can go wrong because of a single wrong step.
Analiza la Frase trains exactly that chain with sentences generated every time, so answers cannot be memorised: each round asks you to identify a function in a new sentence. Spelling still counts in every exam, and for that there are Pon la Tilde and Corrige el Texto, with words and texts suited to this level.
