Secondary-school maths suddenly becomes abstract: letters, negative numbers and graphs appear, and many students go from understanding everything to not knowing where to start. The same thing nearly always fails: rules are learnt ("what is added moves across as a subtraction") without the picture that explains them.
These games put the picture first. In Balanza Algebraica you solve for x by removing the same thing from both pans, which is exactly what the rule says; in Caza la Función you move the line or the parabola until it fits the graph; in Salta la Recta integers are jumps to the left and right. With the picture clear, the rule stops being a trick.
Isolate x by doing the same to both sides
Read the graph and adjust the line or parabola
Math functions to the goal
Stop the shot — one chance only!
Integers and negatives, jumping the number line
Identify and build fractions by tapping slices
Calculate mean, median, mode and range against the clock
Read the chart: is it growing, when was the peak, how much did it change
Reach the target number
Navigate & calculate
