History and geography games for secondary school

Secondary-school history covers many centuries in a few years, and the risk is that it all becomes a list of unconnected dates. What gives the syllabus meaning is chronology: knowing that the French Revolution comes before the Industrial one, that the First World War explains the Second, or what was happening in the world while Spain lived through its Civil War.

The games on this page work on that chronology in several ways: putting events in order on a timeline, guessing which era an object or a newspaper front page belongs to, identifying a figure from clues or travelling through time in Tuthor Time. For geography there are maps of countries and capitals and coordinates on the globe.
