🔺 Calculate the lowest common multiple (LCM)

Type your numbers and get the lowest common multiple: factorise each into primes and take every factor to its HIGHEST power. Plus the GCD.

Numbers

Type two or more whole numbers, separated by commas or spaces: 12, 18, 24.

Examples:

m.c.m.

36

m.c.d.

6

Prime factorisation

  • 12 = 2² · 3
  • 18 = 2 · 3²

LCM — every prime factor to its HIGHEST power

m.c.m. = 2² · 3² = 36

GCD — only the common factors, to their LOWEST power

m.c.d. = 2 · 3 = 6
