Prefer to learn without screens? Try this analogue version:

    Draw axes with a grid on a sheet.

    Draw any line and note where it crosses the Y axis (that is b).

  3. 3

    Count how much it rises per step to the right (that is the slope m).

  4. 4

    Write y = mx + b and check it by plugging in values of x. With parabolas, try changing a, b and c and watch how it changes.
