Rebuild-the-Chain Game
A biology game about rebuilding real food chains against the clock: a chain gets shuffled — say grass, rabbit, fox and eagle — and you have to tap the tiles in the right order, from the producer to the top predator. There are no text clues: you have to reason out who eats whom from what you already know about each animal or plant.

Knowing a fox is a carnivore isn't enough: you have to decide whether it comes before or after the rabbit and the eagle in the very same chain, applying the full logic of who hunts whom.
From Secondary onwards, 4-link chains appear: grass → rabbit → fox → eagle, and phytoplankton → fish → seal → orca — to see why there are so few predators at the top.
In Sixth Form the same chains are rebuilt but starting from the top predator and working down to the producer — same knowledge, different angle, and harder.
"Four shuffled tiles appear: 🦅 Eagle, 🌾 Grass, 🐇 Rabbit, 🦊 Fox. The player knows grass doesn't hunt anything, so it goes first; the rabbit eats grass, so it's next; the fox hunts rabbits; the eagle, at the top, hunts the fox. They tap the four tiles in that order and the chain builds up with arrows, tile by tile."

Prefer to learn without screens? Try this analogue version:
Pick an ecosystem you know (a forest, a garden, the sea) and draw an arrow for every "eats": producer → primary consumer → secondary consumer.
Add a tertiary consumer if you can think of a predator that hunts another carnivore.
Draw a mushroom or an earthworm next to the whole chain, with arrows from every organism to it: decomposers act on all of them, not just the last link.
Compare your chain with a classmate's: did you pick the same ecosystem but different organisms?
